Living In Wales

Wherever you live in Wales you are never far from the countryside. Wales has over 400 castles, three National Parks and five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

In 2007, Wales received 8.85 million UK overnight visitors; these visitors stayed for 32.1 million nights, spending around £1,418 million.
Holidays are by far the main reason for a visit (73%) whilst business travel accounts for around 9% of UK overnight trips.
